Useful Websites to Help You Write Better

Useful websites to make your writing better

Have you got some difficulties in grammar, especially in writing? You really want to ask someone to check it, but you don’t have anyone to ask. Or maybe… you have some friends to ask, but unfortunately, they’re busy.

Are there any other ways to proofread our writing? The answer is yes! Absolutely! We always have two powerful things – our smartphone and the internet. They’re supposed to make us smart and our life easier. It’s kind of a waste if we don’t use those powerful weapons. However, the best weapon we have is the one between our ears - our brain.

Okay then… Here, I’m going to share some websites that will check and give some solutions, so you can write better. Either you write to improve your writing skill or write for work, these tools will give you a hand. Here’s the list.

1. Grammarly

This is the first grammar checker website I found the most powerful. Grammarly will help you to correct or at least minimize grammar and spelling errorsincorrect punctuation, and misused words. Its most prominent feature is that you can instantly apply some corrections by clicking the words.

The downside of Grammarly is… if you’re using a mobile phone, you can only see the result telling you about the writing issues. It means that you can’t correct them afterward.

To overcome this, you need to use the desktop version. Or... if you’re creative enough, you can use a web view from your browser - Chrome. I don’t suggest using this though… as it's really complicated to operate.

Here’s the link for mobile phone: https://www.grammarly.com/grammar-check

2. GrammarCheck

GrammarCheck could be an alternative when it comes to using a smartphone. It’s really simple to use. Just paste the text, and tap the Free Check button. The suggestions will show up immediately. Red underline shows spelling errorblue is for style suggestion, and green is for grammar suggestion. Tap the words to apply the correction.

There’s also a deep check feature... but if you click it, the link will redirect you to Grammarly paid subscription.

3. Reverso Speller

To be honest, I rarely use this. Reverso Speller only allows you to check 600 characters of your text. But it’s better than nothing, right? The corrections are applied automatically, and you can see the reason why they’re incorrect.

4. Ginger Grammar Checker

The last is from Ginger. This will also help you to write better. They say that they use patent-pending technology to correct misused words, grammar, and spelling mistakes based on the context of complete sentences. Either way, you can only check a short text as it has a limitation to 450 characters only.

The corrections are applied instantly, but you can’t see the reasons why they’re wrong. However, you can see the comparison of your text before and after the corrections.

Final words, just remember that even though those tools can help you, it doesn’t mean it will be fully accurate. Keep improving your writing and don’t stop learning!
