Using Gimkit in Online Classes to Make It More Fun

I’ve been using baamboozle and quizizz for months and I’ve found it’s rather boring now. Some days ago I started looking for some other websites that provide online games for learning and teaching English. Then I found this website, Gimkit.

I found that Gimkit is easy and really fun. There are a lot of games with various subjects to play.

As other quiz games like Quizizz and Kahoot, you don’t have to make your own games. Just use the search feature to find a particular material.

There are a lot of game modes in Gimkit, such as classic, team mode, trust no one (like among us game), super-rich mode.

What I like from Gimkit is that there’s a goal that students need to complete besides doing the quiz. This goal varies depending on the game modes. In the classic mode, students can try to earn as much money as they can before the time runs out or be the first one to reach the cash goal.

Not only that, to achieve the goal, students can buy some upgrades and power-ups. This is my favorite feature and it makes the game more fun.

You can start a live game, or you can also set it as homework for asynchronous learning. It’s easy to set up the game. Just pick the game, choose if it’s live or for homework, choose the game mode, edit some settings, click continue and share the join code.

But here’s the thing you need to know. For a trial account, we can only have access for 30 days. To overcome this, you know what to do. Just register using a different email address.
