Hello, my fellow teacher friends. Have you ever felt confused when you’re planning a lesson plan? Don’t worry, I know what it’s like. Let’s keep things short. So... Here's the list I’d like to share with you to help you plan and teach your lessons. For your information, these websites have helped me a lot in doing my job, and I hope these will help you too.

1. ISLCollective

This is the first website I usually visit to look for some worksheets and presentation materials. There are a great number of resources for various levels from teachers around the world. The resources are in the type of worksheets, powerpoints, and interactive video lessons. They’re completely free and customizable. One more thing, you may try the new feature, Fill & Send, which you can use for homework or online classes. It requires no downloading. Try to visit it yourself. It won’t hurt.

2. All Things Topics

I visit this website plenty of times when it comes to teaching some topics like family, weather, daily activities, and describing people. It provides a lot of printable ESL worksheets, quizzes, and games. What is more? It also has videos and audios to help you teach. In short, if your lesson is topic-based, then this is the website you can rely on.

3. All Things Grammar

Grammar? Ahh.. my favorite subject when I was still in university. Sorry, let’s cut the chatter. If you have difficulties in understanding grammar, you may also have difficulties in teaching them. But don’t worry, you can use this website to help you.

This is All Things Grammar’s friend. In fact, the owner is the same. So far, this is the best website that provides resources for teaching grammar I’ve found on the internet. There are various grammar worksheets, activities, games, and quizzes ready to be downloaded, as well as videos and audios to help you teach.

4. TeachThis

It contains a lot of plentiful resources to use in the classroom. The worksheets cover a lot of things, from grammar like tenses and conditional; and functional language like describing people, things, and giving direction; I like to download from this website because some worksheets are great for pair and group work. But wait… Some worksheets are free, some aren’t. To get the paid ones, you could make a subscription or you could pay for the entire library to get offline access. Additionally, it has some teaching ideas like classroom management, concept checking, and lesson planning. Go check it out!

5. English Lesson Planner

We know that some lessons are easy to plan, and some, unfortunately, aren’t. You could use this to help you to plan the lesson. Type what you’re looking for in the search bar, and choose the lesson plan. Ta-da… a lot of plans to use. One thing to consider, you need to make some adjustments so it can fit to your teaching method. The lesson plans are usually available with the description, materials to be used and downloaded, and most importantly... the steps or procedures.

6. British Council for Kids

Are you teaching kids? Then, try visiting this website. It contains numerous downloadable topics such as alphabets, colors, actions, and animals with some various activities like games, quiz, grammar section available. It also comes up with videos and interactive online games. Speaking of British Council, If you’re looking for materials for teens and adults, you can go to this section.

7. BusyTeacher

Yup... As its name, it’s for those teachers who have little time to prepare a lesson. There are some resources available for specific skills like listening, speaking, reading, and writing. You can also make your own worksheets like word search and word scramble.

8. Baamboozle

Last but not least, this is the web that I use the most when teaching online. It’s easy to use and no accounts needed, so you can play without logging in. You’ll know how to manage and play it in a short time. It only requires little preparation - good when you’re short on time. The game can be used for warmer, checking concepts and reviewing lessons. You can play this in remote learning by using screen sharing or in the classroom by a projector. Last word, it’s fun.
